I thermal-glued a little thumbnail-sized aluminum plate onto a raspbpi CPU recently, and thought that was probably overdoing it.

Probably no worse than the tiny aluminum heat sink you can order as an add-on.

Not at all, not even for the DDR4. IMHO we should have little drops off large efficient multiloop heat pumps, but I don’t guess that WIRED carbon-sinking AC is past angel investment yet much less something one can run 'round the other side of (pull a valve,) and start searing/deep frying.

Ha! The leg bubbler trope is down for dissipating heat, just run flashing from the board to a fanny warmer for your fave build in acrylic leg tanks.
