Paul Reiser had been a regular doing stand up on those shows, so it was funny seeing him play a bad guy here.

Might seem like a small thing compared to other choices but that was a totally inspired casting choice.

Now I’m off to the internet to see if anyone has done an Aliens/Mad About You mashup.

…aaaand not quite what I was hoping for but I figured I wasn’t the only person with the idea.

If you look into the possible directions that movie could have taken, you’ll find a treatment by William Gibson

I saw Gibson speak a few years ago. He said the only thing from his treatment that made it into the movie was the barcodes on the back of the neck.
