Aluminum cans slowly shredded to produce an "ASMR effect"

It certainly sounds better than how I always described it in my head when I was a kid: good headaches.

My favorite ASMR of 2016:

I want to hang out in some exotic tea house or hookah bar where this is the live music. The drum she’s playing is a new instrument as of 2007— a handpan. They start at $400 and go way up from there because they supposedly can’t be mass produced.

I don’t think it exactly counts as ASMR, but riding a train while it’s either, cold and rainy/snowy outside, sunset, dusk, or sunrise totally puts me into a trance. The rocking rhythmic motion of the train, the mesmerizing sound of the wheels on the tracks, the slight pressure difference and draft near the window, and the intermittent interruption of the low sad train horn. That is my drug of choice.

Sounds a little (enough?) like a much more easily available (and inexpensive) instrument:

Not quite nails-down-the-blackboard hideous, but not far off it.
