my maternal grandfather (1901-1980) had one of those elephants from when he was a child. i think my mom’s sister has it now. i was fascinated by it when i was about 5.

Always loved those banks. My sister gave me a reproduction one when I was ~7 – unfortunately the cast iron “arm” that made the dog jump broke.
