This keeps popping up again and again and again. And we complain about scammy practices of BoingBoing store operators.

Why are scammy lifetime subscriptions to online services still in the BoingBoing store?

Today I got an email from LiveDrive, for which “DripBit” was a reseller, saying, surprise surprise, that the company no longer existed, and that they deleted all my data, because I hadn’t paid for a new subscription. I have searched for “lifetime subscription” here on BoingBoing and I got a very long list of complaints in discussion on bbs. Do you really need to sell something, anything, so desperately?
