Acme has been the subject of a lot of lawsuits, too.
This list is completely lacking in the fictional restaurant department. Not a McDowell’s, Good Burger, Los Pollos Hermanos, or Krusty Krab in sight.
Los Pollos Hermanos is there
Huh missed it somehow
I think also the site is showing brands specifically, not individual restaurants and stores. The database would be choked with stores otherwise. I have not seen Breaking Bad but I presume it is implied to be a widespread brand, not a singular store
As far as i know Acme has been a real brand. Acme is basically a different way of saying “The best” and there’d been so many companies that had that branding in different industries that it became a joke, which is why it being a crappy company in Looney Tunes is extra funny and appropriate.
Yeah, the fact Los Pollos Hermanos is a multi-store operation is somewhat important to the plot and the reason it’s in the show at all.
I’d still consider single restaurants and stores to be brands however, they all have branding, logos and signage and whatnot. But I can see why the creator limited the scope a bit.
TIL.
So like stick Ichiban onto anything Japanese.
Aren’t all brands fictional?
Ono-Sendai isn’t listed. Maybe that’s because it later became a real thing?
b-but, there is an Alpha Industries, and their logo is almost the same
also, Massive Dynamics reminds me of Mix Master Morris’ logo, but it is different enough now that I look at it
No WcDonald’s? No MewTube? Someone’s not been watching enough anime.
Fortunately, this page has you covered:
Looked for, didn’t see: KrebStar
Came hoping to see a proposed trademark for Vandelay Industries, the great notional latex manufacturer whose aspiring salesman was George Costanza.
