Immediately brought to mind an episode of Star Trek: the Next Generation in which Geordi does a forensic investigation of old sensor recordings to infer the presence of a camouflaged alien based on its shadow.

Immediately brought to mind an episode of Star Trek: the Next Generation in which Geordi does a forensic investigation of old sensor recordings to infer the presence of a camouflaged alien based on its shadow.

The unexpected twist for me in that episode was the revelation that the aliens were actually Mark and Brian (of radio DJ fame) in disguise. (Really!)
