The not doing it in public angle makes sense to me, as that’s obviously to protect all parties involved. But why can’t they do it remotely? I mean they’re literally just talking, why can’t it happen on the phone?
I will stress that in almost any other circumstance that would be silly, but in this case it seems like an easy solution to the problem to me.
