I believe most ill is the proper form for describing a man as white as Mr. Assange.
Perhaps they’re poisoning him with truth serum or maybe just torturing him?

In Assange’s case it is somewhat more believable that he is actually ill. There have been reports of his declining health going back to at least the tail end of 2017 We examined Julian Assange, and he badly needs care – but he can’t get it | Sondra S Crosby, Brock Chisholm and Sean Love | The Guardian and recent reports of some type of respiratory infection. Even in a space as posh as an embassy several years of confinement is almost always going to be bad for your health.

There is no court hearing.
Might sound more convincing if a licensed medical Doctor stated he is too ill instead of some lawyer.

Entirely possible.
Of course, it’s his own damn fault, since it’s Assange himself who decided to hole up in the embassy in an attempt to avoid answering for accusations of sexual assault in Sweden. Zero sympathy for the man.
