The same folks that remove the contrails from the skies in Westerns can be responsible for removing these from our films.
In 2001, I found a lookout to specifically observe a sky empty of contrails just because I knew there might not be another opportunity in my lifetime.
The turtle had a little too much to drink.
It’s not a matter of making pretty pictures for consumers. It’s a matter of denying science tests opportunities to gather data. The video clip I posted was from a camera that was attempting to catalog very faint meteors. The satellites interfere with that task. Removing the trails wont bring back the obliterated scientific data.

I grew up in Phoenix and I remember legislation concerning light pollution for the nearby Lowell observatory. Sometimes we remember the scientists.
