Not sure what all this is about. Is this something that Authors can join? Will other types of writing be protected from the ever-increasing attack of corporate censorship by this group?
Hey, Cory, this is almost ugly. I’m an author who “like[s] fair use, users’ rights, and who reject[s] censorship and surveillance,” as you know very well. The Authors Guild has a distinguished history of fighting for fair use and users’ rights and against censorship and surveillance, while also trying to protect authors trying to earn a living. A group (in this case, founded and operated by a small number of law professors) shouldn’t pretend to represent the interests of authors until it actually represents the interest of authors.
