I just don’t believe that. I think people make deals with themselves and deals with other people . . . you take the money and you work out deals to either keep getting it or find some way else to get the money to run a campaign. That’s all. No ontological changes. No epistemological revolutions. Just cutting deals to get some of what you want. Eyes wide open.
I see no way to prevent wealthy Americans from donating money to their favorite candidate. I think it is settled law. I don’t think it’s even the problem.
If 95% of the voters cast their ballets and if the media actually did their job of fact checking what is said by and for candidates we would see a better America.
I’ve always thought it was important to say the same shit over and over and completely ignore any discussion that might cast doubt on the supremacy of dirty money wielded by stupid people toward evil ends.
