I agree with several of the points above, but I’d just like to weigh in and say that trying to recover my account was far more convoluted than it should have been. The main problem being the fact that I didn’t find out that the text field for the email address was case sensitive for several weeks (case sensitive email addresses? Really?) and there’s no indicator that this is the case, and a complete lack of feedback on why attempting to sign up had failed. Add in the lack of feedback to BB’s perennial problem with being automatically added to my blocked cookies list despite whitelisting every variation of the URL I can think of (anyone know why this is the case?), and it’s not really a surprise that I gave up in frustration a few times before randomly stumbling onto a comment mentioning the case sensitivity issue.
I suspect a lot of previous posters would still be posting if the initial account transfer process were smoother…
