ST. PAUL, Minn. – A St. Paul officer who shot and wounded a Black man who emerged naked from a dumpster while being sought in connection with a sexual assault failed to measure up to department standards, the city’s police chief said.
In the body camera footage, a female officer attempts to coax Washington out of the dumpster and onto the ground. He gets out and an officer shouts “Don’t run!” before shots are fired. Washington is bitten by a police K-9 and then screams for the dog to get off him.
I am certain he was in “fear of his life” as a naked Black man ran away from him. But it looks like he was fired, so, yay?
And here is what we have to look forward to:
Just over a month later, the officers involved are still working while the department investigates.

So, not satisfied with funding opposing groups, their new strategy is to infiltrate and disrupt or dismantle from within.

And suddenly “defund the police” turns out to be not so “impossible” as conservatives claim:
A sentiment that’s been echoing around Twitter in response to LA County’s new DA making sweeping criminal justice reforms within the first few hours of his term is “Don’t tell us what can’t be changed. Just say you don’t want change.”
Black Stats Matter, too. This is long overdue.
