It’s just the voting. We’ll do the actual discussions here in BBS, so you can join in anyway. The more, the merrier!
Awesome. So, not a problem then.
Good Reads gives it only 3 stars, so I guess we’ve got to keep looking!
Not that we need more suggestions, but I wouldn’t mind a good reason to do a careful reading of The Case for Reparations.
How’s the loomio thing working out? Couldn’t we leverage the same functionality from discourse?
I try to sign up for as few services as possible after some bad experiences. I mean, you sign up for facebook to watch exclusive live streams one time and they remember you forever.
Bad Facebook Trip
Good name for the house band!
Bagsy on the kazoo!
This review seems to end on a positive note.
Having said all that, it was still sort of entertaining, and I don't hate it.
I made my undergrads read that at the beginning of the semester. What a fine article, I say.
Why don’t you go post this on the loomio thingie… if you haven’t signed up for don’t want to, I can do that for you. Looks like an interesting book.
Have you posted this yet, because I have it on my shelf and have not read it yet.
Go ahead and add it in, thanks.
Is the consensus to use that service? How many of the participants of this topic are signed up?
I’ll consider capitualating if the consensus is to use ‘the loomio’.
There were 9 or 10 when I last looked this morning. I am signed up.
I really think we should use it. I understand it’s not ideal for everyone, but it works really well for voting. Not everyone has to sign up and enter their suggestions since someone else can do this for them, but if only a few people actually sign up and vote, the results will obviously be very biased towards the preferences of the few. Also, I think everyone should vote something on every book, that way we get the best results.
So please sign up and at the very least vote, when we get to that. I can try to do most of the suggestions entering and administration, but as you probably all know, I’m going through some rough times at the moment and I also got the flu now, so my energy is limited.
Agh! Peer Pressure.
Capitulation ho!
Which one? Israel or Mecca? (Talk about a meta choice!)
I love it when a plan comes together.
