Unless this thing can fix my mild dyslexia, it won’t be able to boost my typing speed in the least.

Trending of late is this new game on Steam that combines typing with bullet-hell dodging. Progress seems to require adapting to typing with one hand on the arrow keys and one hand on the letters, though.

On sale “Right now!”

I used to have free fun on a web site where you supposedly raced with others currently using the site for a minute (or two?). Each person was assigned a little race car that moved as you typed, fastest typist wins. I think it told you words per min too. Good times, though I don’t know if it helped me type faster.

This is my favorite of all typing games:

Yup, The Typing of the Dead. My favorite part was the boss fight against Strength, the chainsaw-wielding mutant. To score a hit, you had to type a series of sentences, which usually came together in a silly way. Sometimes I’d even laugh out loud as I typed them.

It didn’t help my typing much, but it sure was fun.

That would be Type Racer, which I still use frequently. One can enter races or just practice (with the source text being from books, movies and songs). Highly recommended! https://play.typeracer.com/
