Bugs with the new BBS system

Quoting spoiler content does not persist the spoiler tag. Thus spoiling.

WHAT HE SAID.

Images can be surrounded by a [spoiler] tag, and are blurred as expected.
Hover shows less-blurred state (as expected).
But selecting image does not give original un-blurred image:

And in my browser (Firefox 32, Windows 7), the blurred image sometimes disappears entirely.
It seems to always be present in editing-preview (so far as I’ve noticed).

Hey guys, the image spoiler functions correctly in Safari.

Quotes must be preceeded by a blank line for them to render.

Below, there are two examples (see screenshot at end for “live” edit preview).
The first has a line with <hr /> on one line, then the quote on the second+ lines.
It does not render as a quote.

The second has a line with <hr /> on the first line, a blank second line, then the quote on the third+ lines.
It does render as a quote.

(apologies for mixed first/second usage)

BUT add a line between the two, and:

Why use html for horizontal rule instead of the Markdown equivalent which is

The quote will now render, but the horizontal line does not:

I think your problem is that you need the extra line for it to render in Markdown as well. I checked it out, and it seems to lock like the indented bullet point.

  • Hitting (shift+8) once at the start of the line indents, and gives a bullet.
Hit return once, and the indentation remains.

Hit return twice to release.

If you place text in a quote, you need an extra blank line above it to insert a horizontal rule. The second return won’t display.

It’ll look like this:

The category badges are rendering a bit oddly. Not sure why there are two links there. Is the second meant as a placeholder?

Sorry, minor issue with moving category under the title (versus in-front-of). @eviltrout is on it.

(Is this the official bug-report thread, then?)

When Falcor moves posts to a different thread, it breaks like/reply notifications. They link to some unrelated post in the original thread now.

You mean moved after the like, but before you had seen the notification about the like?

I’m honestly not sure of the order.

Reply as a linked topic is active for the entire width of the gutter.

I personally dislike links that activate when you hover above whitespace, as opposed to only hover above some thing (text, image, whathaveyou).

Especially when I’m on a scroll-wheel-less trackball where I use left-and-right-clicks to turn on and off scrolling. I can’t tell you how many times a day I go through the “reply as a linked topic/cancel/are you sure?” dance because I wanted to stop scrolling. :-(

Number of replies is sometimes off (by 1?).

There are two replies now, but as soon as I posted the one it showed up with the number 2

repro steps? I have never seen that reported before, outside of spammers and deleted posts (but I see no deleted posts in that topic)

I typed a reply
hit the reply button
saw the “replies” counter pop into existence with the number 2.
Clicked it
Only saw the one reply show up.
Went to another tab, fiddled around for a minute or so, came back
saw it still said 2
clicked it
only saw the one reply show up.
F5 refreshed the page
Saw it still said 2
clicked it.
Saw two replies

The second must have been made very close to when I typed mine, although they appeared to be 60+ seconds apart (they showed as 2 mins apart).

This probably isn’t a bug in the BBS system, but I don’t know where else to ask.

This is how the BBS looks in Firefox 33.0 on Kubuntu (Linux) 14.04 64-bit:

It appears to be substituting fonts for the graphics.

This is how it should appear (Chromium 37, same operating system):

(and it appears fine using Firefox on Windows 7.) Any idea what’s going on?

Your httpsanywhere plugin is causing problems.
