I’m surprised I could name five.

Do the fonts comprise the alphabet, or does the alphabet comprise the fonts?

I’ve got about 3/4’s of the top and 2/3’s of the bottom, I feel ok about it.

Off the top of my head without googling anything, I see:

ACDC
Black Sabbath
The Doors
Fleetwood Mac
Kiss
Led Zepplin
Metallica
Queen
Van Halen
White Snake
ZZ Top

Why? Can’t they come up with their own names?

Both pages 404 for me. :crying_cat_face:

The I is Iron Maiden and the P is Pink Floyd but it’s not really my area of expertise.

Recognising 90’s happy hardcore/gabba/bouncy techno/hardcore techno tunes by short audio clips on the other hand…

Same, but if you hit the via link, it takes you to an article that will link you to Dorothy’s site, where the posters are sold. But it doesn’t give an answer key. :disappointed_relieved:

I thought maybe ‘Y’ was YES, but after I posted my comment, I googled that one:

Eagles and Yes, the latter from their first couple of albums.

Still not getting C or X.

Yes has multiple logos. A few of the bands in these posters do.

So at the Dorothy site (corrected link is https://www.wearedorothy.com/products/the-alphabet-of-rock-original-open-edition ), it says that there’s a key printed “discreetly” on the side. I pulled the zoomed image and zoomed in to make sure. I missed eight of them myself.

Here’s the full list:

AC/DC
Black Sabbath
Eric Clapton
The Doors
Eagles
Fleetwood Mac
Guns N’ Roses
The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Judas Priest
Kiss
Led Zeppelin
Metallica
Nazareth

WTH is INXS doing in the middle of all those 70s hair bands?

I guessed Foo Fighters and XTC, and took a lucky shot on Public Image Limited, Queens of the Stone Age and Weezer. They seem to have taken a cue from Van Halen too!

They didn’t stick with first word initials on this one, and not as much distinction in some of the typefaces as in the days of my impressionable youth! Plus as the years go by, there’s a much greater density of bands to pick from. Some of those I’ve never heard of, such as Libertines or Zutons.

Totally fun puzzles though!
