Can you please stop with Cards Against Humanity

Who said anything about Goodfellas?

BTW, wolf of wall street was an excellent movie. Di caprio owned the narssicism and excess of the industry. And even his redemption was shallow, manipulative, false, and wrenching.

My favorite scene is the one on the yacht with the feds. Sure, the writing for that scene was a little lazy, but it was soo satisfying.

And yet, at 55 seconds in, it’s an invitation to protest.

Talk about deeply offensive. But that is how narssicists talk.

Anyhow, this thread may have motivated me to pursue my life’s work. A card game based on Fish Puns.

(No,that is not a joke or idle threat)

Yes. But not the point.

I’ve played this game. It’s boring, as were most of the other players, whether because they’re intrinsically tedious or the game just doesn’t require any wit, which is doesn’t, or both.

I have some questions.

Do the people defending the game actually expect that they’ll convince the people condemning it to also play it?

Do the people condemning it actually expect that they’ll deter the people defending it to stop playing it?

It seems to me, and I could be wrong, that all a review like the one at Shut Up & Sit Down will accomplish is to publicize the controversy, which will simply make it more appealing to people who like taboo things. Everyone who dislikes it, whether for its offensive content or its banality or both, already won’t play it. It seems like free press for the game’s publisher, even if that wasn’t the intention of the reviewers.

Edited to add: I mean, I could see if the goal was to convince people on the fence about buying it. But it’s not like people buying it won’t already know what it’s all about. It’s on the box.

Yeah, but not airing them on TV, only releasing them on special DVDs with an intro by (if I remember right) Oprah Winfrey that basically says “These were from a different, much more racist time: They weren’t OK then and they aren’t now, but sometimes academics need to watch these and we don’t want to just shove these under the rug and pretend we never did this” is probably the right decision.

Hey, every little bit helps. They’ll encounter less than they would otherwise.

When will you fin nish? Does it scale beyond 2 players? Making a game is a tough roe to hoe.

CAH is interchangeable meaning if you don’t like certain cards then you just remove them from your pk before play or even during play. Its not that hard to do. We are playing tonight it will be my 3rd game of CAH.
We dont play with the extreme cards and we respect each others dislikes. We dont just laugh at the answers we also tell people off in a funny way as well which granted often leads to more laughing.

We all need something taboo every now and then to let go of the stress of life. We all need to also remind our self of what really is good and bad things to think. Sometimes we make connections that we didn’t know we were capable of thinking of and it reminds us that we all think bad things the difference between a true racist ect is who you are in the real world. Because if you based the concept of racism on something a simple and quick as a thought we would all be racists ect.

There are far worse things to stress about than the CAH game. I was skeptical before my first game but the people I play the game with have boundaries they wont cross and that’s good enough for me.

Maybe I’m hard of herring, but it sounds like you might be floundering. Better act on this idea, or salmon else might mako lot of money on it.
