Can you see the racism now?

I feel great about them!

As a brown person of Ojibwe parentage adopted into a white family it would not be my experience. And since you’re considering yourself the arbiter of what’s offensive I’ll add my own anecdotal shit and say that friends who are in NA studies/tribal councils etc. disagree with you. Not to say we have any way of knowing what you (or I) say is true anyway. I do however find it completely fascinating to come across a right wing/libertarian Indian who’s also appears to be a big fan of colonial early Americans. I guess you just never know… Clayton Bigsby and all…

Who said I was a ‘big fan of colonial early Americans’? Is that, like, a thing now? Coloniaphilia? Sounds…creepy. Not a right wing anything at all, never have been. A.I.M.? (Um, is that ‘right wing’?)
How many labels you wanna try to hang in your bid to defend not stereotyping others? If youre desperate, just lemme know. I can probably help.

Powatan/Saponi, some kids Apache. Rest of fam are Euro/African/Asian. I meant those colors and between-shades absolutely literally. Proud of all of 'em, and they are all proud people.

So you’re right - you just never know.

Since it hasn’t been lawful for non-Natives to adopt Native kids for a long, long time - I’m going to assume you are also of mixed heritage and identifying as NA for the purposes of this discussion. That’s fine, but be honest about it. You grew up with white people. That’s your culture. There’s nothing wrong with it. (Although you should know - ‘people who know about NA affairs’ ? They don’t have to go to college to find out what’s up, because they already know. Dead giveaway. So sorry. 'Nuther time, maybe.)

So, I sincerely hope that stupid cartoon is the absolute most racist , offensive thing you ever encounter. I’ve sat with NA friends and family and laughed at that stupid cartoon head. Comes up every Columbus Day, without fail - and having a Columbus Day itself puts that little mascot thing to shame, but good luck talking anyone into giving up their beer and b-b-q day off. But hey, that’s just us. Honoring treaties and caring for real-life probs. Real live human beings. So, go be nice to a human. Seems the best way to combat C-Day and all it stands for.

Oh geez, give me a break…

If you’re referring to the ICWA it isn’t that old, especially if you’re (sadly) middle age like me and predated it by nearly a decade.

Yeah, that and an obsession with the founders, calling Latino immigrants “illegals”, and generally jabbering on and on about libertarian narratives… I guess it’s not that nutty though. Even Indians need their version of Thomas Sowell or Alan West. Of course like them, you’re wrong too. Every group has their quislings.

Having read a bunch of these comments, and assuming most of them come from the U.S., all I can say is… boy, Americans sure are fucking uptight.

I’m not “white”. You want to make a baseball from my ethnicity? Go ahead. I don’t give a shit. Most of us don’t. Let’s figure out how to curtail our one-way journey to environmental apocalypse first, then how to feed and keep everyone in our society healthy, and maybe how to amend our fucked up political system for good measure. Then you can talk to me about how much you hate cartoon Injuns.

Packers are a race? As for the others, you should probably should crack a history book. You have much to learn.

You might want to try reading on what you comment. And thinking about it.
