Well, if you’re not sick now, you can be.
Why was this ever considered a good option? The best case scenario is that they were exposed and negative, but held in an imperfect location with other exposed individuals. Even if you choose to discharge people without reliable testing, why would you choose to discharge into a high density environment? Spend the extra money to take them home and encourage them to take a few more days off just to be sure.
