If by “spins just as competently as normal” you mean “doesn’t actually spin, has no needle, record has no groove, behaves more like a novelty birthday card,” then yes; I agree with you 100%.
Still going through that here. It is, umm, not much fun… Occasionally come across a treasure, but so much just stuff.
