I confess to being momentarily confused reading this headline, as I thought the “Chinese Sci-Fi/Writing advice/DIY aromatic shower” were, in fact, the same multipurpose item. I spent a few seconds trying to figure out how that worked…

It’s Ken Liu. Perhaps you have him confused with Ted Chiang, another Asian American SF author (though he does not do translation, to my knowledge).
