The authoritarian fascist state China has become poses a danger to democracy abroad, not by accident. Holding families hostage at home may be leveraged for more than their license plate numbers.

OK, its not exactly the same (or even close really) but I liked ‘Chinese Cops Now Spying on American Soil’ you mean a bit like the FBI and CIA’s reach in to other sovereign states?
Perhaps they need to formalise procedures somewhat. How about setting up a Chinese Court for the United States:
