But we know that for some people, they have the luxury of treating the struggles of others as an intellectual exercise. Others do not, and it’s on those of us with some privilege to stand firm against this form of dehumanization and not treat it like a thought experiment… real lives are on the line…
Look at it in this context.
The last few months have been hell for trans people. Over 300 hateful bills in the US, some more in the UK, and in the last week we had a speaker at CPAC call for trans genocide, and got cheers from the crowd.
We finally have a bit of news we can celebrate, and you come along to shit on it.

This is what matters here… not anyone’s personal opinions of Suzy Izzard…
Yep…
Ah a good middle class trans person would never come out unless they were unsuccessful at life because solidarity is achieved via isolation and conforming to negative stereotypes!
Glad some one came here to respectfully make that point… /S
Similar things have been said about Jenner but at least Izzard has actually been supportive of other trans people. Seems like a pretty hollow criticism to this American. If one doesn’t want classism one shouldn’t enforce it’s rules for one thing.
You were not bullied.
