I know there’s a “Dead Celebrity” thread here already but I think Mr. James warrants a little more… even if only on the basis of his utterly amazing Cultural Amnesia, which is a profoundly thoughtful and deeply human collection of mini-biographies of amazing people, most of whom are lights in the darkness for times such as these.
(I know he’s done much, much more, only a fraction of which I’m personally aware of, I suspect)
