This is disturbing: Australia’s Federal Police force has announced that it intends to take over the accounts of “some social media users” and then delete or modify content they’ve posted.
All in the name of combating the use of encryption by criminals, of course. And of course the law - the Surveillance Legislation Amendment (Identify and Disrupt) Bill (SLAID?) - requires that sysadmins help in the takeover of accounts.
I’m really tired of this timeline.
