Incredible. Absolutely no mention of Olivier Messiaen, renowned composer and teacher, globally famous for just this concept through a period of his prolific output. As a student, this guy should have been intimately aware and the interviewer should have put in the extra 20 sec. of research.

References to Beethoven and others aside, this was done back in the 80’s by a composer who used the best that Apple could offer back then to transcribe skylark song.
