How do you not see that women should be part of a discussion about policy issues in religion?

This isn’t a discussion. It is a panel with three people on it discussing the details of polices that have been kicked around for decades. The polices are all old. The arguments they are making are old.

I can not think of a single reason why someone’s gender would matter at all when arguing for or against an increased role of the state or the benefits of specific policies.

Now maybe there was a woman who could have been just as effective or better, I don’t know, but I refuse to ridicule the summit just because they had all men on the panel.
