except for those '70s lapels on that very-much-not-a-motorcycle-jacket
Good. We are in the middle of a pandemic.
Now, if we can just find a good fascist repellantâŚ
Assume a spherical, frictionless studentâŚ
AIDS kept rents low and idiots away from the best cities all through the '80s and early '90s
We need a conspiracy theory that will put the âphobiaâ back in homophobia
Assume some bullshit that doesnât exist.
When are we going to get actual humanity? Or is it better to dehumanize all of us until we destroy ourselves?
HD had a few anachronisms.
Thatâs exactly who I just described as âhoodlumâ. The ones properly isolating, not attending the parties, are being good community members.
Iâve taught in Urbana (though I didnât have âpowerâ there, whatever that might mean). There is a huge party culture, in part because of the big Greek culture. (They celebrate St. Patrickâs Day twice.) There are also plenty of responsible students. I deeply resent their being endangered by students who go partying while knowingly infected; thatâs just beyond the pale. There have been 400 new infections already this semester at UIUC.
If people the age of these students were out knowingly infecting people but werenât doing it as students, we wouldnât give them a pass. There is plenty of bad behavior at universities, especially ones with a big frat culture, we donât (and shouldnât) just dismiss on the basis of âtheir brains are still developingâ.
Something something perfectly spherical cows something.
The day before was deemed asymptomatic. Being mote than 80 years old it at a high risk to get hard complications.
He was in vacation in his Big Villa in Sardinia and meet other 00001 percentâs here, but the disco where they partied were locus of SARS-CoV2 spread.
So in this case even older people party and make stupid things. And get upset when the mayors decide to forcefully close the discos and night clubs.
So theyâve accounted for everything except human nature? Must be Republicans.
Related to yesterdays discussion also:
Not to repeat, but âlong termâ in this bug is a misnomer. There is no long term in a disease only 9 months old. But this points out that we need to be wary, and taking it lightly could be catastrophic.
I feel a bit worried about this.
1000 capacity for the EFL Trophy game against Fulham U21s, and 2500 for the league game against Carlisle United. The Abbey Stadium normally has a capacity of 8100, It doesnât sound like distancing will be a thing there.
No, I will not go to the Carlisle game.
But stocks are great, so :shruggy:

What A Country
Even pre-Covid, this number going from 36% when I was 18 to 47% last February is⌠something.
The coronavirus outbreak has pushed millions of Americans, especially young adults, to move in with family members. The share of 18- to 29-year-olds living with their parents has become a majority since U.S. coronavirus cases began spreading early this year, surpassing the previous peak during the Great Depression era.
COVID-19 disruptions associated with a large increase in the share of young adults living with parent(s)
In July, 52% of young adults resided with one or both of their parents, up from 47% in February, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of monthly Census Bureau data.by Atrios at 14:30
He couldnât leave it thereâŚ
Keep 'em coming. Alas, AZ will never be one.
neither Florida.
le sigh
This may be the only way the reality sets in, sadly.
Well, I guess weâll be seeing someone new at the podium next week.
Shit
A month later. Not how this was supposed to go.
