So now I have confessed that he is thine,
And I myself am mortgaged to thy will,
Myself I’ll forfeit, so that other mine
Thou wilt restore to be my comfort still:
But thou wilt not, nor he will not be free,
For thou art covetous, and he is kind;
He learned but surety-like to write for me
Under that bond that him as fast doth bind.
The statute of thy beauty thou wilt take,
Thou usurer that put’st forth all to use,
And sue a friend came debtor for my sake,
So him I lose through my unkind abuse.
Him have I lost, thou hast both him and me;
He pays the whole, and yet I am not free.
@noahdjango @awjt I fixed 127
FFS! both times it’s worked fine on my screen. hows that now?
All good now. That’s the insidious thing about hotlinking - more often than not it will look fine to the person creating the link but everyone else sees either nothing or an annoying message. That’s why I usually toss pretty much everything to imgur - saves a lot of hassle in the long run.
cool, deleted my… uh, complaint, I guess you would term it.
@awjt I had to puzzle over that half one for about a day I’m too literal-minded sometimes.
The best one yet!!!
Is that the official method of constructing the twitter logo?
Neat.
Thanks, but I can’t take credit for creation. I was looking for an entertaining Twitter logo, and found the best math-related image possible! Really got lucky!
No idea! I did take the pic into PShop and check the sizes of the circles. All the small circles are the about the same size, and four of the five large circles are about the same size. (Only the one creating the lower body is larger.) So it looks like this may be one way to design it - if, for example, someone wanted a more stylized image of an earlier concept.
It is. I remember when they introduced that version of the logo they were very proud of the fact that all of the curves were from circles rather than ellipses.
In other news:
Sweet!
