I delivered pizza in college. This one house always gave me a couple funny feeling one dollar bills. Back at the pizza place it was easy to tell it was a fake… i mean, they didn’t even get all the basics right. I reported it to the police. Dunno what happened from there.
Limit the losses. I propose to make them into $4.50 bills.

A joke, whose provenance I cannot refind:
After the revenuers busted up Jed’s still, he took to counterfeiting to get by.
Taking his first batch into the general store, he slapped down a 21-dollar bill on the counter, and demanded $3 worth of chewing tobacco.
The clerk looked down at the bill, back up at Jed, then asked “And how do you want your change, sir? Three sixes, or two nines?”
