I’m thinking for the authentic feel they need to have fragile spring-loaded gadgetry, or at least some temperature-sensitive paint gimmickry.
I mean, those are very cool, but… $400? Wow… I’m assuming that they are not runs, but single figures for that price…

Easily one of the best TNG episodes…
The Cardassians were probably the best villains in Star Trek ever… they did a great job of making them interesting and complex in DS9. Gray zone much!
