I enjoy a good intro but the problem is when you end up binging it having to constantly sit through the intro over and over is a huge annoyance

Exactly. Daredevil or Hannibal being two similar styles I can think of. Really great credit sequences with the blood & flesh motif, but really tedious when binging your way through.
