Geta sandals are sort of a cross between clogs and flip-flops and are usually made with wooden soles. This version, however, is made with a softer material called "elastic cell foam sponge EVA.

No thanks! I started wearing geta precisely because the wood is firm. Shoes with foamy soles make my feet ache. At least they aren’t tetsu geta - the elusive iron version.
