Rings is my litmus test for drummers. If a drummer doesn’t at least recognize that Starr’s playing serves the songs and therefore is extremely musical, I am suspicious of their own musicality. So, though it matters not one iota, I am all for this doctorate. Peace and love.

In the news today - Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” may get to number one because of the TV show “Stranger Things”.
Nice, but here’s a confession.
They printed an excerpt of the lyrics:
“Make a deal with God,
And get him to change our places”.
I got the album in 85, one of my favourites, but it wasn’t until yesterday that I learned the lyric wasn’t
“And get into smaller places”.
