a nice memo and all, but the go-to work is Brenda Ueland’s 1938 masterpiece If You Want to Write.

Good call, but #10 is still excellent advice.

Also Learn to Write Badly: How to Succeed in the Social Sciences for a well written take down of impenetrable writing in social psychology, but equally applicable to bad writing in all the sciences.

They all sound like excellent advice, but I don’t imagine #7 applies to the internet.
