Disney princess lingerie sets introduced

I ask for the opposite. The “more” link is annoying. Just show us the whole post.

Here’s a hint though: it is at the preference of the author and they don’t care what we want. Cory always uses the link and I’ve complained for more than a year to no avail.

So meditating about how Disney Princeses must be getting full Brazilians doesn’t count as slut shaming?

When did it become shameful to get a Brazilian?

I’ll be in my stump…

Nope - not the case. The point of registered IP (copyright, trademark, patent) is to put the world on notice that any infringement is a violation, “innocent” or not.

Only one of the four guys in the article recognized the associated princess, and then only after prodding. (And it was the most obvious one.)

Apparently it’s a special fairy brazilian where the nipple is removed too.

As amusing as that picture is, it still has me mentally screaming about how female chest armour like that would be utterly lethal for the wearer.

(the boob crease would break ribs/sternum on any reasonable impact)

I suppose I could joke about “why aren’t there similar lingerie outfits for men”, but of course all lingerie is technically for men.

A lot of Disney is trashy knockoffs of the original texts, so there is that.

Both Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm are out of copyright. See above. (That’s why Disney was able to use the themes.)

I see this isn’t your first day at this rodeo. Very well pointed out.

I have to disagree with you there. Or rather, it is not only for men, or even necessarily only for those other than the wearer. Some women and transwomen fancy wearing lingerie, and some women and transwomen fancy others wearing lingerie. So…

Also, while I’m in no way falsely equating the two, there are most certainly sexy wear for men.

Yeah but, and again I am no lawyer, but surely they’ve copyrighted their depiction of those characters?

This just in from Disney legal department:

“The Walt Disney Company is aware of the materials purported to depict a line of women’s apparel allegedly inspired by intellectual property owned by the Walt Disney Company and/or its subsidiaries. We have no further comment at this time as we are still reviewing said materials. In private (please knock first). Also, are these the highest resolution evidence of the infringing product that you have? Any videos? Can’t have too much evidence! Ok, we’ll let you know our assessment once we’ve finished. Examining the evidence.”

Actually, I don’t think so. I think women wear lingerie more for themselves than for others. I’ve certainly heard that said about makeup and other clothing. And the fact that men don’t recognize these outfits strengthens that point.

I’m not a woman, nor do I wear lingerie, so I can’t speak to that directly, but I can say lingerie is wasted on me, if a woman wearing it is intending to have some effect.

well at least it’s marketed at adults…

On an unrelated note is it possible to escape emoticons on here?

I wanted to do the ascii version of  but it insists on putting in an icon that doesn’t really deliver the same sentiment IMHO
