So you agree 100% with what I said. If the car drove on public roads to get to the event, then the ticket is justified.
I donât believe an officer can write a ticket for such a violation after the fact unless they actually witnessed said car driving on public roads. For all the cop knows, that was one of the countless vehicles that was either towed to the playa or transported there on a flatbed truck.
âExpensive as hell?â How is it any more expensive than a regular week-long vacation, or even a weekend flight to Disney World? Tickets are, I believe, $380 tops this year, and can be had significantly cheaper. You bring your own food, so thatâs the same cost as what youâd be eating at home, and a lot cheaper than going out to restaurants like you would on a normal vacation. Gas or shuttle fare will cost you something depending on where youâre coming from, but again, same as a regular vacation.
Now, admittedly, if you want to rent an RV and buy new camping stuff and a whole bunch of drugs & booze and build a giant robot, it can get expensive, but that stuff is optional and not an cost inherent to attending. (Also, âexpensive hallucinates?â Please. First, theyâre called hallucinogens, and second, theyâre universally cheaper than a night at a bar. Of which there are also plentiful free ones on playa.)
You shouldnât be so vehement about things youâre ignorant of.
