Evidence that the series is effective is my reluctance to even watch it, having read how creeped-out I will feel while watching it.
I was thinking the same thing. Even though I run Adblock and other similar extensions, I recognize that so much of my ‘online presence data’ slips around these psuedo-firewalls that I lean towards accepting the aforementioned shruggie. And as a Baltimore resident, and given that I feel that people who have nowhere left to turn will act out in an increasingly desperate and sometimes violent fashion regardless of the consequences, I wonder where or what or how people will react once we finally get sick enough of having every last scrap of our data sold to the highest bidder.
I feel creeped out already, and I haven’t even watched it yet.
