Those two were best buds for sure, but for whatever reason they did choose to sleep in separate beds. (Probably because they had the cool personalized headboards. Also, it’s clearly hard enough to go to sleep in the same room as Ernie, so I can’t imagine Bert’s aggravation if he was trying to sleep in the same bed.)
