Asset forfeiture only seems to apply to flesh-humans
It’s written for those. But give the cops the chance of going after corporations, and the smaller ones without enough resources to defend themselves well will be in trouble too. They have more resources, typically, but the stakes are higher and the costs of the lawyers as well. And if it is the state or fed government, not just the local cops, their resources are correspondingly higher as well.
