Well, British Columbia is also very mild with not but variance between winter and summer.
You may be conflating the Southwest portion of BC with the other 80% of the province, which has a typically Canadian brutality to its winter months. Google āFort Nelsonā or even āTerraceā for examples.
All that said, I grew up in Central Alberta with the full prairie winter to contend with each year. I did not and never would have so many winter clothes that they required a storage locker of any sort. The notion is absurd, even in a tiny apartment.
