Yep, but the narrative HAS to be that Israel is merely “defending itself” from hostile, antisemitic forces, so we can continue to justify selling them arms… It’s maddening that people still have problems understanding who the aggressor here is…
Because somehow people have agreed that “Israel has the right to defend itself”, and so everything right down to starving and sniping children is fair game if you pretend it’s defense. That phrase is like a worse version of “all lives matter”, something superficially true calculated to forget all the actual victims, and it deserves to be held in the same kind of disgust.
