Eurovision organizers say Russians can still sing at competition

A competition that attempts to unite a diverse region through song and (usually) friendly competition is inherently political. Breaking down barriers is political. Unity is a political goal.

Russia has gone against the very nature of the competition with their actions and should not be allowed to participate.

I wonder what the line is.
eg, could a team from Pol Pot’s Cambodia sing?

So, no time traveling.

Only if they are singing this

ETA: And to more sorta answer your question they would not qualify because there are limits on who can participate based on location - it’s Euro vision. As for what the atrocity line is, well, they have allowed songs that are crimes against humanity, so I just don’t know

Songs deemed to be political are forbidden. In any case, most countries have already decided on their entries.

Of course, the authorities need to be smart of enough to detect the politics

All of the contestants should all sing the same song in their style, with the same chorus, but could make up their own verses if they wanted.

Example chorus:

“Fuck off Russia!
You think that you are cool,
You’re really fucking lame.
Stop being a Putin tool,
Get the fuck out of Ukraine.”

I thought of this as a punky song, but it actually works for that Fancy like Applebees song. (Which I made a parody of due to them sponsoring the war footage  )

Britain were excited for a moment, because that meant they wouldn’t come in last for a change…

All the better. Let Eurovision stew as all the singers sing in protest. What will they do? Burn it to the ground? Hah!

They are not good at detecting politics

A country just has to be a member of the European Broadcasting Union. Australia is a member and competes. This weekend our entrant is being decided on the Gold Coast.

BlockquoteWho knew that Eurovision was such a subversive theatre of war?

That is like the entire point of Eurovision, do you not know its a Japanese 80’s anime brought to life namely Macros, in that we fight with our culture instead of our weapons, its the hottest war in the world, the one for the harts and minds of our enemies!

With people voting in blocks, with old a new alliances, with a different battle frontier arena each year taking place in a new theatre of war!

With people trying any thing to win, even letting Australia take part, in the hopes they would vote for the UK and they would not be last!

You have your old powers who wont be kicked out no matter what, because just like banks they are too big to fail, your little nations may get cut out if they are in the bottom, and have to compete in intense practice battle heats! Just to get threw, but the big 5 can come last 9 years out of 10 and still be guaranteed a slot!

Some has to pay for them Warsats!
