Falk, Gazzara, Cassavettes on Cavett–A Monsoon of Charisma

Destructive, yet sublime. Juvenile–crass in places–but with purpose. The three guests deconstruct the talk show format decades before Ferguson implements the idea as a nightly strategy.

They try to skirt talking about their film Husbands for as long as they can, but come around to it in a disarmingly sincere way in the third act, as it were. A great thing to watch with one’s Sunday coffee.

As the guy who pointed me toward this video noted, “even the stage manager had a drink. It was a different time.”
