Speaking for myself, they were wonderful for the time. Growing up with them made me appreciate the ways graphics improved as time has gone on, while still being able to enjoy the games from my youth.
I also made it a point to raise my kids with access to the old games.
Thanks for this. I needed another reminder of how utterly dreadful Pac-Man for the 2600 was.
It’s funny you should say that. I feel the same way, and even did back when it was new, but my youngest daughter loves Pac-Man on the 2600 for some reason.
