I specifically called out projectors (and by extension other shared environments) for this reason. Projectors, presentation systems, and videoconferencing have always sucked and continue to suck. USB-C is showing no signs thus far of fixing that.
You know what didn’t used to suck? Sitting at my own desk and plugging in my own monitor every day. USB-C sure did fuck that up.
