Damn, i cannot even express how morbid that story feels…
Waiting for the inevitable “these Grizzly bears keep attacking us in our new fields, lets shoot them!”
Under a plea deal entered in Susquehanna County Court, Coterra agreed to pay $16.29 million to fund construction of a new public water system and pay the impacted residents’ water bills for the next 75 years.
Only a drop in the bucket when you consider the valuation of Coterra Energy, Inc.
Another sign of bird migratory patterns changing
“The sale is a major milestone in the administration’s goal of building offshore wind turbines across the nation’s coastlines to help power communities and transition to clean energy. The White House, as part of its broader agenda to address climate change, has committed to deploy 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy by 2030, enough to power 10 million homes.”
Gurgle says there’s about 39 million people and 14 million homes in Cali. That would be 2/3’s of the homes; if it’s calculated that way.
Edit:
Reread that. The 10 million is the three leases nationwide under this administration. This lease will power 1.5 million homes. 10% of Cali homes or so. Looks like they’re 35% wind and solar right now - so nearly half by 2030. Not bad.
Yikes
