Yes, but where are the previous generation floppy disc placemats?
These need stickers from old AOL intro disks.
Underneath the 7-track magnetic tape plates, of course. Next the punched card napkins.
They probably make better coasters than actual floppy disks though.
I miss the days when we’d use old punched tape for Christmas decorations…
I do like these coasters, a bit more attractive than coaster-format CD-R’s, for sure.
Back in 2000, we were still using punched paper tape at work. Not all keys are public.
These are perfect for my 5MB bar and liquor cabinet in the rec room (re-ordering terminal on the right).
“Oh look! Someone 3D-printed a “safe” icon!”
If it’s made of silicone, why does it say SILICON???
(sorry – confusing silicon and silicone is one of my pet peeves)
Does the effective elimination of floppy as storage device mean that these have have become more real(in their capacity as superior, made-for-purpose coasters) than what they were formerly imperfect simulacra of?
These are expensive! What’s wrong with picking up a real floppy disk from a yard sale or anywhere and just using that?
